A cosy cottage in the heart of wild Northumberland
Butterburn Cottage is a charming holiday rental located in Hexhamshire, Northumberland.
The cottage enjoys a very special setting with truly spectacular views, yet it's only five minutes from the picturesque market town of Hexham.
Hadrian’s Wall and the Tyne Valley are close by, including fascinating Roman sites at Corbridge, Housteads and Vindolanda.
Northumberland’s National Park and Kielder Forest are easily accessible for incredible walking and biking, as is the Northumbrian coast with its unspoilt sandy beaches.
Sleeping up to eight guests across three king and one double bedroom, the cottage is well appointed for families and large groups. Relax in the cosy sitting room with log burning stove, or enjoy a feast in the separate dining room. The kitchen also has a separate log burning stove for cosy nights, and in the summer you can soak up the wonderful views from your private garden.
Built in the 1800s, the cottage has retained many of its pretty original features, including fireplaces, original pine flooring and original shuttered bay windows.
We hope you will have everything you need for your stay but we are always available if you need anything, including tips and recommendations on where to visit.
