The postcode covers a wide area so the best way to find us is to use what3words - the code is hexes.practical.firm or use Google Maps and search for "Butterburn Cottage, Hexham".

Check in time is after 3pm on the day of your booking. We use a lockbox so you can check yourself in but please get in touch if you are very delayed or plan to arrive the next day.

Check out time is before 10am on the day of your departure. Please call if you need to check in early or leave later and we will see what is possible.​​​

We welcome two well-behaved, house-trained dogs to the cottage.

We kindly ask that all dogs (excluding service dogs) remain downstairs in the cottage and on a lead when outside as the cottage overlooks a working farm so there may be sheep in the fields at any time. 

There is private parking available on site for up to three cars outside the cottage (signposted "Butterburn Parking"). 

Small children and infants are welcome and a travel cot and high-chair seat are available. There are no stair gates at the property so please take care on the stairs with young children.

The property is accessed via three steps with no hand rail at road level and all bedrooms are upstairs.

The cottage will be professionally cleaned with fresh towels and bedding on arrival. Linen and towels can be replaced if you are staying for more than two weeks.

The cottage doesn't have a charger yet but there are plenty in Hexham, including in the Wentworth Car Park.
